Responsibilities

When you join Fiber Guyz...

Structured cabling prevents an organizations’ cabling from being messy tangles by keeping the whole wiring infrastructure neat and organized. This results in shorter down times and less room for human error.

Our structured cabling consists of Fiber Optic Cable, Cat 5E, Cat 6, Cat 6A, Cat 8, A/V cabling, Coax and Wireless solutions. Fiber Guyz provide structured cabling for computers, printer, phones, cameras, and Wi-Fi access points.

Fiber Guyz install cabling by hanging j-hooks in drop ceilings, warehouse ceilings, under raised floors, or through conduit sleeves. Although at times this can be challenging, it is the nature of the beast when installing trouble free cabling for customers.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Pulling Cat 6 cabling in a way to avoid damaging the cable
  • Cable managing Cat 6, installing Cat 6 jacks, and terminating Cat 6 cable on to a patch panel
  • Stripping, cleaning, and cleaving fiber optic cable in preparation for a connector or splicing.
  • Climbing ladders, using lifts, and working aloft, as needing to complete day-to-day operations.
  • Installing racks, patch panels, access points, IP speakers, and cameras.
